After a brief gap, several parts of Odisha are now experiencing light to moderate rain or thunderstorm activities for the past couple of days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday informed that several parts of the state will continue to experience thunderstorm activities for the next few days.

A yellow warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall has also been issued for some districts of Odisha.

Weather Forecast and Warning

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 16.08.2023)

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Nayagarh, Khordha, Kandhamal, Ganjam.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 16.08.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 17.08.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul, Sambalpur.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 17.08.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 18.08.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Bolangir.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 18.08.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 19.08.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Boudh.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 19.08.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 20.08.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kandhamal.
