Several parts of Odisha are currently experiencing rainfall activities following the onset of southwest monsoon which covered the entire state yesterday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that a yellow warning has been issued for rainfall in 19 districts of the state today.

As per the IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Apart from this, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Angul, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Nuapada, Nayagarh.

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Angul, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Bargarh, Bolangir, Kalahandi.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangapur, Nuapada.
