The low pressure area formed yesterday now lies over north interior Odisha and adjoining south Jharkhand, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.

The low pressure area is very likely to move toward north Madhya Pradesh during the next two days.

As per the IMD, several parts of Odisha will experience heavy rainfall activities in the next few days.  A yellow warning has also been issued for some districts.

Weather Forecast And Warning

Day-1: (Valid up to 0830 Hrs IST of 27.06.23.)

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20cm) is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur and at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Boudh, Sonepur, Angul, Deogarh and Keonjhar.

Day-2: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 27.06.23 to 0830 Hrs IST of 28.06.23)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall(7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.

Day-3: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 28.06.23 to 0830 Hrs IST of 29.06.23)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall(7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Mayurbhanj
