The cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand and neighbourhood now lies over north Odisha, informed India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday.

As per IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh and Sonepur in the next 24 hours.

It is pertinent to mention here Odisha is currently witnessing another spell of enhanced rainfall activities. Earlier, incessant rainfall triggered by a low pressure system had adversely affected normal life in different parts of the State. Several parts in Motu of Malkangiri district were remained inundated following heavy rainfall.

Orange Warning (Be Prepared): Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur.

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.07.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 24.07.2022)

Orange Warning (Be Prepared): Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Sundargarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda. Yellow Warning( Be updated): Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Deogarh, Sambalpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur, Puri.

Yellow Warning( Be updated): Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh.

Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 25.07.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 26.07.2022)
