Heavy Rain Alert For Odisha; IMD Issues Yellow Warning For Several Districts

People across the State are going to experience intense spell of rainfall activity in coming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted heavy rains in the next 24 hours.

As per the IMD, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Malkangiri and Koraput in the next 24 hours.

It is pertinent to mention here that several parts of Odisha witnessed heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours. Marshaghai in Kendrapara recorded 225 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours, informed Regional Metrological Centre in Bhubaneswar.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack and Balasore.
