With no respite from the sweltering heatwave conditions across Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued heatwave warning for 11 districts in the State.

As per the bulletin issued by the weather office, heatwave condition is very likely at isolated places over the districts of Sambalpur, Sonepur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Bargarh, Boudh, Bolangir, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Angul till April 29.

Besides, the heatwave condition will prevail over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Subarnapur, Boudh and Bolangir till April 30, the IMD predicted.

The temperature is unlikely to change significantly over the next 2 days and will remain 2-3 degree Celsius above normal in the interior districts, the bulletin read.

Maximum Temperature forecast: 

The maximum temperature is very likely to be more than 40°C and it is likely to be above normal by 3 to 5 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of interior Odisha and likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degree Celsius at a few places of coastal Odisha during the next two days. 

The weather office has advised people to take precautionary measure while going outside during day time between 11 am to 3 pm, during the next two days.
