Odisha continued to witness heat wave conditions with several parts of the State reeling over 40 degree Celsius on Friday. 

While eight places across the State recorded over 40 degree Celsius on Friday, Titilagarh recorded the highest maximum temperature. 

As per reports of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Titilagarh became the hottest place in the State by recording the highest maximum temperature at 43.4 degree Celsius. 

Titilagarh usually records the highest maximum temperature in the month of April. On April 24, 2016, Titilagarh had recorded the highest 48.5 degree Celsius. 

Bolangir became the second hottest place on Friday with 42.4 degree Celsius while Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Talcher, Sonepur, Boudh and Bhawanipatna recorded a temperature of over 40 degree Celsius, informed the Met Centre in Bhubaneswar.
