The low-pressure area over south Odisha–north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining northwest and Westcentral Bay of Bengal has become less marked. However, the associated cyclonic circulation now lies over southeast Vidarbha and adjoining south Chhattisgarh, said India Meteorological Department (IMD).

As per IMD, a fresh low-pressure area is likely to form over the Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh around July 24. The system is likely to trigger heavy rainfall in several parts of Odisha from July 25, IMD said.
