The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that the cyclonic circulation over West Central and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal now lies over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts.

Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over the same region during the next 24 hours. As per the IMD, the system is likely to concentrate into a Depression over the same region around July 26, 2023.

Subsequently, it is likely to move slowly west-north-westwards across north Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coasts. This will the first depression this monsoon season, informed IMD’s Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam.

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangapur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Nayagarh, Khorda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 27.07.2023)

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri,Koraput, Nabarangapur, Kalahandi, Nuapada,Bolangir.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 29.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak.
