Low Pressure to trigger heavy rainfall

A low pressure area has formed over north Odisha and adjoining West Bengal Coasts, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.

As per IMD, the associated cyclonic circulation also extends up to mid tropospheric levels tilting south-westwards with height.

The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Sri Ganganagar, Rohtak, Lucknow, Gaya, Ranchi, center of low pressure area over north Odisha and adjoining West Bengal Coasts and southeastwards to east central Bay of Bengal.
