The low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha coast now lies over south Odisha– north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining northwest and westcentral Bay of Bengal with associated cyclonic circulation.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday informed that it is likely to move slowly west-northwestwards across south Odisha - north Andhra Pradesh coasts during the next two days.

As per IMD, a fresh Low Pressure Area is likely to form over Northwest & adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal around July 24.

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bolangir.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 23.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Deogarh, Boudh.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 24.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 25.07.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Nuapada.
