Depression over Northeast Rajasthan; IMD predicts heavy to extremely heavy rainfall

The depression over Northeast Rajasthan and the neighbourhood moved West-Northwestwards and lay centred about 40 km West of Jaipur(Rajasthan) and 90 km south-southeast of Sikar (Rajasthan).

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that the system is likely to move West Northwestwards across North Rajasthan and weaken further into ‘a well-marked low-pressure area’ during the next 12 hours.

As per IMD, strong wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph gusting to 50 kmph is very likely over Rajasthan and adjoining South Haryana today.

East Rajasthan: Light to moderate rainfall at most places is very likely with heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places on 5th and heavy rainfall at isolated places on 6th August.

West Rajasthan: Light to moderate rainfall at most places is very likely with heavy to extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places on 5th and heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places on 6th August.

Gujarat region: Light to moderate rainfall at most places is very likely with heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places on 5th and heavy rainfall at isolated places on 6th August.
