Depression intensifies into deep depression over Bihar, Jharkhand; check IMD’s forecast for Odisha
The depression over north Jharkhand and the neighbourhood moved west-northwestwards with a speed of 7 kmph during the past 6 hours and intensified into a deep depression over southwest Bihar and adjoining northwest Jharkhand.
The system is about 50 km northeast of Daltonganj (Jharkhand), 60 km south-southeast of Dehri (Bihar) and 140 km east-southeast of Churk (Uttar Pradesh).
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday informed that it is likely to continue to move west-north-westwards across northwest Jharkhand, southwest Bihar, southeast Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
