Even though there is no likelihood of any major change in the minimum temperature (Night temperature) over the districts of Odisha during the next five days, several districts are likely to experience dense fog in the coming days.

As per the IMD, the minimum temperature is likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in several districts of the state during the next five days. However, several parts of Odisha are likely to experience dense fog and a yellow warning in this regard has been issued by the IMD.

Apart from this, several districts are also likely to experience rain and thunderstorm activities as well.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Sonepur, Koraput, Bolangir, Boudh, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 02.01.204 to 0830 hrs IST of 03.01.2024)

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Khordha .

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.01.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 04.01.2024)

Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.01.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 05.01.2024)

Light rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 05.01.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 06.01.2024)

Light rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.
