The Depression over the northeast Bay of Bengal moved north-northwestwards with a speed of 25 kmph and intensified into a Deep Depression, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.

The system is likely to move northwestwards and cross Bangladesh coast close to east of Khepupara by the evening of today. Thereafter, it is very likely to move west-northwestwards across Gangetic West Bengal during the subsequent 24 hours, said IMD.
