With no respite from the heat, people in Odisha are set to experience a further rise in day temperature in the next four to five days.

As per a weather department bulletin, the maximum daytime temperature in the State will rise by 3-4 degree Celsius in the coming 4-5 days. However, there will be no major changes in the night-time temperature in Odisha.

On Monday, Boudh recorded the highest maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature on Monday was recorded in Phulbani at 14 degrees Celsius.

Later in the day, the IMD in its seasonal outlook said, "During the upcoming hot weather season (March to May (MAM)), above normal maximum temperatures are likely over most parts of northeast India, east and central India and some parts of northwest India."
