Cyclonic circulation over southeast Bay of Bengal

A cyclonic circulation lies over the southeast Bay of Bengal in lower tropospheric levels, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday. Similarly, a trough runs from the above cyclonic circulation over the southeast Bay of Bengal to south Tamil Nadu in lower tropospheric levels.

In its forecast, the IMD stated that isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands between November 4 and November 6; Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe on 4th and during 8th -10th; South Interior Karnataka during 08th -10th November.

Moderate to dense fog conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of northeast Uttar Pradesh on November 4 and 5 during morning hours.

Forecast For Odisha

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 06.11.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 07.11.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and Mayurbhanj.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 07.11.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 08.11.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada.
