A cyclonic circulation is likely to form over north Andaman Sea and neighborhood around October 18, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday.
At present, a cyclonic circulation lies over westcentral and adjacent southwest Bay of Bengal in lower tropospheric levels. Similarly, a cyclonic circulation lies over eastcentral Arabian Sea off Karnataka coast in lower and middle tropospheric levels.

As per IMD, the southwest monsoon has further withdrawn from remaining parts of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat; most parts of Madhya Pradesh and some parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.

Under the influence of above systems, widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala & Mahe during October 14-18; South Interior Karnataka during October 14-17; North Interior Karnataka during October 14-16; Telangana and Coastal Karnataka on October 14 and 15; Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on October 14 and Lakshadweep on October 18, 2022.
Isolated very heavy rainfall also likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Kerala & Mahe on October 17 and 18.
Fairly widespread/widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls very likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands during October 15- 18.
