The cyclonic circulation over interior Odisha and adjoining parts of Chhattisgarh has become less marked, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Thursday. However, a cyclonic circulation lies over northwest Madhya Pradesh and neighborhood at 3.1 km above mean sea level.

As per IMD, the maximum temperature recorded a fall at one or two places over the districts of north-interior Odisha and an appreciable fall at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha in the past 24 hours.

Weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha

Day-1 (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 10.03.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest of districts of Odisha.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.03.2023 up to 0830 hrs IST of 11.03.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 11.03.2023 up to 0830 hrs IST of 12.03.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal.
