As per IMD, the Northeast monsoon rains have ceased over Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Rayalaseema and adjoining areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam from today.

Two back-to-back western disturbances in quick succession are likely to affect the Western Himalayan Region, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday. As per IMD, the first western disturbance is likely from January 29 and the second from 1st February 2025.

Under their influence, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall/snowfall activity is likely over the Western Himalayan region from 29th January- 2nd February 2025 and isolated to scattered rainfall over adjoining plains on 30th January- 1st February, informed IMD.

As per IMD, the Northeast monsoon rains have ceased over Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Rayalaseema and adjoining areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam from today. 

Under the influence of an easterly wave, light to moderate rainfallis  very likely at a few places with heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from 30th January till 1st February and over Kerala & Mahe on 31st January.

Forecast For Odisha

The IMD today informed that there would be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next 3 days and thereafter rise by 2 to 3 degrees C in the subsequent 2 days over the districts of Odisha.

Apart from this, several parts of Odisha are likely to experience dense fog. A yellow warning has also been issued for the districts of Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Khordha, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar in the next 24 hours.
