Zoo keeper jumps to save drowning Orangutan in enclosure; watch

Animal parks or zoos are places where animals are kept within enclosures for public exhibition. Moreover, animals are often bred for conservation purposes in zoological gardens. While the safety of animals is ensured in zoos, their freedom is compromised. Even several mishaps also are reported in the animal enclosures.

Recently, a video surfaced on social media that shows an Orangutan slipping into the water. However, a zoo keeper instantly jumps into the water to save the Orangutan without giving a second thought.

In the video, an Orangutan can be seen near a water body within its enclosure. However, it slips into the water and further starts sinking. The Orangutan can be seen squirming in the water. Meanwhile, another Orangutan can be seen watching its friend helplessly. Further, it slides down near the water and stretches out its hand to help the drowning Orangutan. But, it couldn’t reach.

Meanwhile, the boundary of the enclosure gets crowded with visitors. While the crowd watches the drowning Orangutan, a swim ring lands on the water and the zoo keeper jumps into the pond.

The zoo keeper starts searching rigorously in the pond. After searching for a while, the man finds the Orangutan and pulls it up. He takes the help of the swim ring and swims towards the bank. Further, he pulls up the unconscious Orangutan to safety and starts compressing its stomach to force out water thus saving its life.

The video shared on Twitter by Le Contemplateur has gone viral while amassing massive views. As claimed, a visitor threw some food into the enclosure that fell into the water. The Orangutan tried to fetch the food but unluckily slipped into the water.
