'Hunger Strike' for iPhone! Woman flower vendor fulfils son's wish of purchasing expensive mobile, watch

Children are meant to support their families and parents. They should understand their financial status and make their expenses likewise. They need to recognise the effort their parents put into earning a living. They should even make smart financial decisions and prioritize needs over wants. Though it is hard for kids to understand such deep lessons, older kids/teenagers should take ownership of their expenses and be accountable for their actions. While a deeper understanding of the money value is quintessential for everyone, there are a few who are quite selfish and prioritize their requirements.

Recently, a video surfaced on the internet that shows a boy, probably in his late teens, holding a stack of money. He is at a mobile shop for purchasing an iPhone.

Behind him, an old woman can be seen in a saree. Meanwhile, another youth can be seen holding a mic and asking the boy from where he came and why was there.

The boy responds that he got to know about the shop from Instagram. When the person asked why he was holding the stack of money, he replied that he had come to purchase an iPhone.

Further, he inquires if his mother gave him the money or if he got it from some other way. 

Next, the youth moves to the woman and asks, if he is telling the truth that she sells flowers near the temple.

The mother in a choked voice says, "I am selling flowers and leaves. For three days, he didn't eat anything."

Further, she briefed, that her son went on a hunger strike for purchasing an iPhone. She also said that she fulfilled his wish but would be happy when he would bring that much amount of money to her. 

Finally, the boy's dream is fulfilled as he unboxes the iPhone.

This nithalla boy stopped eating food and was demanding iPhone from her mother.

His mother finally relented and gave him money to buy iPhone. She sells flowers outside a mandir.

While the source of the video couldn't be obtained, it is shared on X by Incognito. The video has been viewed by over 413K users and post has been liked by over 8.6K users. 

While the boy seems to be quite happy after he gets his iPhone, this has fumed netizens.

One user wrote, "Shameful!!! Mom should have hit him with slippers instead of money and let him starve. These selfish buggers will not hesitate to sell their own parents for their greed." (sic)

A second user wrote, "Feel sorry for the mother, her expression tells it all !!" (sic)

"Feel sorry for his mother.. he doesn’t even realise how much hard work his mom put in to make that much money!" Wrote a third user. (sic)
