Watch video: Bride’s parents wash her feet with milk before ‘vidaai’, later drink it

A girl child is the most beautiful thing born in a family. But, there comes a day when she has to leave the family and go to her husband’s house. Now, a heart-warming video of a couple for their beautiful daughter before her vidaai has left the internet in aww. Parents share an unconditional bond with their children, be it a girl or a boy.

Now, the video shared on Twitter by an IAS officer has gone viral on social media.

In the video, we can see the girl’s parents washing her feet with water. Later, they wash her feet with milk and go on to drink the milk. The lovely couple later imprint their daughter’s feet to keep it at their house, before her ‘vidaai’.

This sweet gesture of the family is winning hearts on social media. While many people take daughters are a burden and want to marry them off, this unconditional love by the couple for their daughter has made many emotional.

This video was shared by IAS officer Sanjay Kumar with a caption that reads, “Emotional moment. Parents keep the footprints of their daughter in the house before her farewell.”

The video has over 1 lakh views after being shared online. But, the video has left the internet divided. While some were touched by the gesture and hailed the parents’ love, some others thought it’s unnecessary and done for social media.

While some people were incredibly moved and touched by the gesture of the girl’s parents, others weren’t too impressed. 

One user wrote, “Really heart touching.”

Another commented, “Indian parents love for the girl child cannot be described in words.”
