Watch: Narrow escape for man as drain slab collapses, his reaction says all

In a miraculous turn of events, a man escaped a major accident by a whisker. The incident has caught the attention of many and the video of the same is now going viral on social media.     

Industrialist Anand Mahindra also took to Twitter to share the flabbergasting CCTV footage which has left the netizens astonished.

Mahindra, who is known for sharing posts that intrigue internet users' interest, captioned the post as "I'm going to spend the weekend trying to figure out what message the Universe was sending this man.  What would you be thinking if you were him."

In the CCTV footage, a man is seen walking towards a shop. In the next few seconds, as the man steps on a sidewalk and the moment he takes the next step towards the shop, the sidewalk caves into the drain below. 

The video captures the man's facial expression as it describes it all. He takes a few moments to compose himself as others rush out of the shop to check if he is okay or not.

The timestamp on the CCTV footage suggests that the incident occurred in late July, although the location is not known.

The video garnered over 883K views after being shared online. Several Twitterati also commented on the luck of man.

“This is called luck,” wrote one person in the comments section. “Looks like this man is blessed,” another Twitter user said. “Don't be even a second late,” a third remarked.
