Watch: Cow feeds milk to abandoned puppies, video goes viral

Hinduism considers cow as mother and calls it ‘Gau Mata’. Cow is also considered sacred and worshipped. Her milk nourishes all creatures. A cow in India was recently spotted feeding not her own calves or even calves of other cows. Rather, she was seen giving milk and nourishing the puppies of a dog.

The video has been shared on Twitter by a forest official.

“It can happen only in India. Cow mothering abandoned pups,” the official captioned the video.

The video has gone viral with so many netizens liking and sharing the clip. The video depicts four brown puppies, who were apparently abandoned by their mother, drinking milk from a cow. Meanwhile, the cow was seen lying down calmly as she feeds the pups.

Netizens have agreed with the forest official with comments like “It happens only in India”. 

“God is not in cow rather cow is in God. Our most sacred animal. Cow is the only animal which serves us completely with love and affection. We mainly feed only on mother and Cow milk that’s why Cow = Mother,” another user commented.

 “That’s why we call cows ?? gau mata and worship them,” another netizen wrote.
