Violence behind closed doors: Ghaziabad elderly woman assaulted by daughter-in-Law
In a deeply disturbing incident from Ghaziabad, an elderly woman was mercilessly beaten and dragged by her daughter-in-law in their home. The shocking assault, caught on CCTV footage dated July 1, has sparked outrage online and prompted swift action from authorities.
The one-minute-28-second video begins with a heated argument between Akanksha, a young woman carrying two small bags, and her mother-in-law. Another woman, Akanksha’s mother, is seen recording the altercation on her phone near the staircase.
Tensions quickly escalate as the elderly woman tries to snatch the phone to stop the recording. Akanksha intervenes violently slapping, pushing, and repeatedly striking her mother-in-law’s head.

The elderly woman attempts to flee, knocking on a nearby door for help, but Akanksha forcefully pulls her back, pins her to the wall, and yanks her hand so hard she falls. In a shocking moment, Akanksha kicks away her mother-in-law’s slippers and drags her down the staircase before pulling her inside the house when the door opens.
Akanksha, a software engineer married to Antariksh for two and a half years, reportedly works from home while her husband works in Gurugram.
The Kavi Nagar Police Station has registered a case, and investigations are ongoing. The incident highlights the grim reality of domestic conflicts and underscores the need for timely intervention to protect vulnerable family members.
