A woman tourist from Karnataka, who was on a vacation in Kerala, recently lost her iPhone during her adventurous trip. The phone worth Rs 1.5 lakh was very close to the woman who was heartbroken after the unfortunate incident.

She was enjoying the waves on a beach from atop big rocks when the phone fell out of her pocket. Heartbroken the woman returned to her hotel and narrated her ordeal to the staff who alerted the Kerala police and the Fire and Rescue department.

Luckily for the woman, Kerala police and the Fire and Rescue Department found the lost device after seven hours of search. A video of how they found the missing iPhone has been circulating on Instagram.

Sharing the video, the resort in which the woman was staying, wrote, “This video is a part of yesterday’s accident. The iPhone worth 1.5 lakh of the Karnataka woman who was staying in our chalet fell between the huge rocks on the beach. Despite the efforts, nothing could be retrieved. The strong waves along with winds and rain made the situation challenging.”

“However, Antiliya chalet team along with Kerala Fire and Rescue took 7 hours of effort to recover the mobile phone. Antiliya chalet would like to thank Suhail and Kerala Fire and Rescue team for helping in this,” the post further read.

Since being shared on Instagram, the post has garnered millions of views with netizens all praise for the fire and rescue team.

However, several other netizens weren’t too happy with the fire department spending a whole day on the girl’s phone.
