Tiger Shark kills Russian man
In a scene straight out of a Hollywood flick, a 23-year-old man was mauled to death and eaten by a shark near one of the Red Sea resorts in Egypt.
A video circulating online, purportedly of the attack, has gone viral which shows a man thrashing about in the water before being repeatedly attacked by a shark circling around him, and then being dragged under.
Reportedly, father and girlfriend of the deceased were present nearby during the fatal attack, which was also filmed from the shore. His father stood helpless as his son fought for his life, desperately calling out for help.

Egypt’s Environment Ministry confirmed the man’s death with a Facebook post.
“An attack by a tiger shark on a beachgoer … led to his death,” the ministry posted on Facebook, without providing further details.
After the incident, a 74-kilometer (46-mile) stretch of the coastline around the city of Hurghada was closed by authorities until Sunday.
Later, the ministry said that the shark has been caught for examination in a laboratory to find out the reasons for the attack.
As per the state media agency, TASS, the local Russian consulate said the man was identified as Popov V., died during a stay at the beach resort town of Hurghada, which lies on the coast of the Red Sea. He was born in 1999, per the consulate.
Vorpaev also said Popov was not a tourist and was living in Egypt permanently, TASS reported.
