As social media continues to grow, more people are engaging in dangerous activities with the aim of going viral and gaining overnight fame.

However, such risky endeavours often lead to tragic consequences.

Recently, a viral video emerged on the internet, highlighting the perilous obsession with creating attention-grabbing content.

The incident occurred in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India, where a teenager tragically lost his life.

According to reports by the Free Press Journal, the 14-year-old boy, identified as Farmaan, stood recklessly on railway tracks in an attempt to capture dramatic footage for his social media reel.

Disturbing visuals from the video depict the heart-wrenching moment when Farmaan walked along the railway tracks, only to be mowe down by a speeding train.

What began as an act of fun and social media craze took a dire turn within seconds.

The train hit him with tremendous force, launching him into the air before he was tragically mowed down.

The video also captures the reaction of another person, presumably Farmaan's friend, who was left in shock by the horrifying accident.
Sadly, Farmaan was declared dead at the scene. His grieving family was notified of this tragic incident, and his body was sent for post-mortem examination by GRP SHO Dharmendra Singh, as per the report.

This incident has sparked strong reactions online, with netizens expressing a mix of sadness and anger.

Some users commented on the video, with one stating, "The obsession with creating reels is beyond comprehension."

Another expressed frustration, saying, "These individuals engage in reckless behaviour, putting their lives at risk for the sake of making videos in front of trains. They even trouble the train drivers."

And one user summed up the sentiment, saying, "This is not the way to go. A young life is lost. Rest in peace."
