While it is normal for religious people to bring their newly purchased two-wheelers and four-wheelers to temples for "vahan puja" (vehicle puja), a businessman from Telangana has taken his religious affiliation a notch higher. He brought his newly purchased helicopter to a temple to perform the vahan puja rituals.

The businessman in question has been identified as Boinpally Srinivas Rao, owner of Prathima Group. As per reports, he, along with his family members flew in an Airbus ACH-135 to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri, about 100 km from Hyderabad, for the special puja.

The swanky multi-colored chopper, which is said to be priced at $5.7 million was given a complete puja in front of the Temple. The puja rituals, which were performed by three priests, have now gone viral on social media.

Sources said, Srinivas Rao is a relative of former governor of Maharashtra Vidyasagar Rao, who was also present at the puja. Later, they took a sortie in the chopper around the popular hill shrine.

Prathima Group, owned by Rao, has presence in infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, telecom sectors and also owns a medical college and a chain of hospitals.
