A slipper was hurled at south star Thalapathy Vijay when he came to pay his tribute to the founder of Murpokku Dravids Kazhagam (DMDK) and actor Vijayakanth, who passed away on Thursday at a private hospital in Chennai.

The video of the entire incident has gone viral on the internet. The person who threw the slipper is yet to be identified.

As seen in the video, Vijay arrived at the DMDK office to pay his respects to Vijayakanth. He was surrounded by a huge number of fans and he was being escorted amid tight security.

Amid this, a slipper could be seen coming towards Vijay, which was thrown by an unidentified person. Fortunately, the flying slipper missed the actor by an inch.

The slipper hit an anonymous person in the crowd and he threw it away. The clip was shared on the X (formerly Twitter) handle of iam_K_A with the caption, “Actor Vijay was attacked by some unidentified persons in the Vijayakanth funeral place.” (SIC)
