Shocking video of woman thrashing a zomato delivery agent goes viral

In a bizarre incident, a video of a woman mercilessly thrashing a zomato delivery agent has left netizens furious. The video has gone viral after it was first shared on Twitter.

In the video, we can see a woman thrashing the agent in the middle of the road. She snatches the order from him and beats him up with her shoes. Angry netizens demanded immediate action against the woman and justice for the delivery agent.

Shared by Twitter user named @bogas04, the clip has left people furious and vocal for justice. Taking to his Twitter handle, @bogas04 wrote, “Hi @zomatocare @zomato, the delivery executive got assaulted while delivering my order (#4267443050). Some woman took the order from him and started hitting him with her footwear. He came to my place crying and terrified that he would lose his job.”

He continued, “Luckily, bystanders recorded the incident on video, though at the moment he hasn’t received one with audio. Should probably get it by tomorrow. I tried calling customer care but they weren’t able to understand and weren’t helpful.”

He added, “I told them that I don’t care about the order, your partner got assaulted, please help him. But they asked me to tell the rider to contact the rider support. He tried that but they didn’t understand Kannada, and of course, he was scared to lose his job.”

“I’m tweeting so that the DE gets justice and job security. I asked the customer representative to connect me with their superior to explain it better. Please look into this urgently and help him. Looking forward to explain further on call.”

Replying to the tweet, Zomato care wrote, “Hi there, thanks for sharing this. We are getting this checked.”

An angry user wrote, “Why @zomatocare need to check is it because of delivery boy is not wealthy? You should immediately awarded to the delivery boy and file complaint against the woman on behalf of the delivery boy.”

Another user commented, “One more landmark in women empowerment.”

A third user demanded for the boycott of zomato and wrote, “Lets boycott zomato until it takes some action and protect their delivery partners. These are boys who deliver my food too. Can’t imagine them to get harassed like this, irrespective of any gender.”
