Ranveer Allahbadia caught crying in viral video, but there is a twist

Popular YouTuber, Ranveer Allahbadia, has drawn criticism for controversial remarks made on Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent. The comments, deemed inappropriate by several quarters, involved asking a male contestant an unsettling hypothetical question about witnessing his parents in an intimate situation.

The remarks have ignited a backlash across various platforms, drawing condemnation from prominent figures, including Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis. An FIR (First Information Report) has been registered against Allahbadia and other participants of the show. Critics argue that the remarks were in poor taste and inappropriate for public discourse.

Meanwhile, a video of Ranveer is going viral where he is seen crying. He is seen breaking down because of loss of work. In the video, he is seen saying, "Mujhe isliye bura lag raha hai kyunki sab kaam band ho gaya (I feel bad because all the work has stopped). I just feel I am guilty. Poori team ko aise expose kar diya. Meri wajah se poora kaam band ho gaya hai."

Several social media users are sharing the video, thinking it was an apology clip after his controversial remark. However, there has been some misunderstanding regarding the timing of the clip. Contrary to popular belief, the footage is not recent; it dates back three years when Allahbadia had tested positive for COVID-19.

On the other hand, Ranveer is going through a tough phase as SC has quashed his request to strike down all the FIRs lodged against him. 

While his comments have drawn widespread fire, he has found support through some public figures. Social media influencers like Urfi Javed, Kashish Kapoor, and Dhruv Rathee, have come to Allahbadia's defence. They argue that the response has been excessive, suggesting there are more urgent issues necessitating attention in the country. They also believe the filing of an FIR is an overreaction in this context.
