Qawwali version of Justin Bieber's 'Baby' from Pakistan storms the internet, watch

Canadian singer and Pop Icon Justin Bieber's Baby, released in 2010, became a massive global hit. The song became a 'Teen Pop Anthem' for its catchy melody and memorable lyrics. However, how would an alternate version of 'Baby' sound? What if it is a Qawali? Recently, a video has stormed the internet that shows the Qawwali version of Justin Bieber's hit song 'Baby'. And the video is from an event in Pakistan.

With a desi twist, Bieber's iconic hit 'Baby' has been reimagined as Qawwali at a University in Lahore. The Qawwali version seems to be a surprising blend of pop and Sufi.

The performance featured traditional musical instruments like harmonium and tabla. With their Sufi vocals, the performers gave a cultural twist to the pop song. The performance seems to be a part of Qawwali night.

While the origin of the video couldn't be traced, it has been shared on Instagram by khatti.meethi.baate. Well, the video has gone viral on social media amassing massive views and likes. However, netizens have flooded the comments section with mixed opinions.

"Justin Bieber is begging for justice in a corner," a user commented sarcastically. (sic)

Another joked, "Waiting for Bieber singing 'Naseebo' in a Toronto concert." (sic)

"Waah, vibe toh hai," wrote a third user. (sic)

Of course, music knows no boundaries and this fusion of Justin Bieber's 'Baby' with the traditional music proves it.
