The first sight of a snake will most likely stream fear into many people. Though not all snakes are venomous, even a bite of some non-venomous snakes can be dangerous. Social media is flooded with infinite videos showing accidental encounters of people with snakes. While some could tickle your funny bones, some might be interesting. However, the sight of a snake would rarely leave anyone surprised.

Recently, a video surfaced on the internet that shows a puff-faced water snake that turned into a 'dragon'. Well, though not literally, the reptile's appearance is quite similar to a dragon, described in mythical stories.

In the video, the water snake can be seen crawling inside a vessel filled with water. As claimed, the reptile spent enough time sitting still in a swamp to grow moss. The green moss all over its body gives it the appearance of a 'dragon.' If the claims are anything to go by, the video was captured in Thailand.

While the origin of the video and the authenticity behind the claims couldn't be verified, it is shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Nature is Amazing. By now, the video has garnered over 3.8 million views with over 32K likes.

The caption for the post reads: "A puff-faced water snake in Thailand spent enough time sitting still in the swamp to grow moss and turn into a dragon, apparently." (sic)

Moreover, the comments section is flooded with statements through which netizens have expressed their surprise.

One user wrote, "Maybe these were the dragon that they saw and it became a myth." (sic)

A second user wrote, "That looks crazy cool!" (sic)

"This is incredible! It really does look like a dragon with all that moss on it," wrote a third user. (sic)
