A police officer reportedly from Gujarat earned accolades from all quarters after he went beyond his duty to help a girl student reach her examination centre on time.

As per reports, the girl was all set to write her Board exams. But on the day of exams, her father dropped her at a wrong examination centre in a hurry. The hapless girl searched her roll number but it was not there in the list as she was at a wrong examination centre.

A police officer, who was on duty nearby saw her in distress. Upon asking her she said that she was in wrong place and she might miss her exams.

The officer asked her to show her the hall ticket and realised that the centre mentioned in the ticket was 20 Kms away. So, he decided to drop her in his police vehicle.

He put the siren on and pressed the gas pedal to reach the examination centre on time.

The entire incident was tweeted by a Twitter user who goes by the username Adarsh Hegde.

After narrating the incident, he thanked the police officer and tweeted, “There are many good police officers in our society.”

 

 

The tweet went viral in no time and people were quick to reply.

A user KN Nagashayan Rao replied, “It's good that you brought these niceties to public glare. There are still lots of good people in society.” (sic)

“An amazing gesture of the Police, it should be highlighted,” said a Twitter user.

Another user Shreehari said, “Real life singam.” (sic)
