In a heartwarming display of the Navratri spirit, Mumbai's local train passengers recently transformed their daily commute into a festive celebration. The nine-day Navratri festival had a firm grip on the country, and a viral video beautifully captured the essence of this cultural celebration. Commuters aboard a Mumbai local train joyously danced to the rhythmic beat of Garba, with netizens across India applauding their infectious enthusiasm.

However, the video has ignited a debate among netizens. While many perceived the incident as a delightful expression of people enjoying the festive spirit, some argued that such performances might disrupt other passengers' journeys.

The video was shared on an X handle called Mumbai Heritage with the caption "Garba in Mumbai local." In the clip, a group of individuals can be seen standing in the train's passage, energetically dancing. Some passengers cheered them on, while others observed the dancers with curiosity.

Since its posting on October 18, the video has amassed more than 81,000 views and counting, along with nearly 700 likes. People expressed diverse reactions in the comments section, ranging from praising the dance to sharing their discontent with the spectacle.

A user wrote, “So good to see the bonding.” Another wrote, “Local! Always something incredible or interesting.”

“Imagine the plight of someone in the coach traveling to attend the funeral of a loved one. Someone may be unwell. This is public transport,” said an irked user.
