A shocking mid-air incident has ignited massive outrage across social media after a disturbing video surfaced showing a passenger physically assaulting another man who was reportedly suffering a panic attack.
The viral footage, now circulating widely on X (formerly Twitter), has raised serious concerns over passenger conduct and airline response.
The video shows a man in a white shirt aggressively slapping a fellow passenger wearing a skull cap, even as cabin crew attempted to calm the situation. The victim appeared visibly distressed, and was reportedly undergoing a panic attack at the time of the assault.
When questioned by fellow passengers, the assailant attempted to justify his behavior, saying in Hindi, “Uski wajah se pareshan ho rahe hain hum log” (We are suffering because of him). One co-passenger can be heard challenging the attacker: “We all have problems, but you should not have raised your hand.”
What has @IndiGo6E done about the offending passenger? Why was he not deboarded and not put on a no fly list? https://t.co/UYZgAEWOTZ

Flight attendants can be seen stepping in, urging the aggressor not to escalate the matter. The video concludes with the crew escorting the accused passenger toward the exit, though the exact time and route of the flight remain unknown.
The incident has sparked a wave of condemnation online. Supreme Court advocate Sanjay Hegde questioned why the assailant wasn’t deboarded or added to a no-fly list. Many users demanded legal action and an immediate ban on the aggressor.
As of now, IndiGo has not released an official statement addressing the incident or clarifying the actions taken. Netizens are urging the airline to take transparent and decisive action.
