The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Jyoti Sonar, wife of Mukesh Sonar. The bone-chilling incident occurred while the couple had gone for a family outing with their three children.

The horrific video of the woman being swept away has gone viral on social media platforms. Taking to his Instagram handle, Mukesh expressed how he was responsible for his wife’s death. He recounted how both of them lost their balance when a fourth wave unexpectedly hit them from behind.

Mukesh managed to hold onto Jyoti’s saree, but his attempts to rescue her went in vain. On the other hand, their children, who were present nearby, were heard crying as Jyoti was dragged into the sea.

Mukesh revealed how his wife and their three children – a daughter and two sons – used to have picnics every fortnight. On the day of the incident, they had planned to visit Juhu Chowpatty but later they went to Bandra.

The incident has left the entire family in shock.
