Mohammed Shami's ex wife Hasin Jahan in legal trouble after viral assault video sparks outrage

Hasin Jahan, estranged wife of Indian pacer Mohammed Shami, has landed in fresh legal trouble after a neighbour filed a police complaint against her in West Bengal’s Birbhum district. The complainant, Dalia Khatoon, accused Jahan of assault, criminal conspiracy, and even attempt to murder. The complaint follows a viral video circulating on social media that allegedly shows the altercation between Jahan and Khatoon near a disputed plot of land in Suri town.

Land Dispute at the Centre of Row

According to reports, the conflict arose when Jahan began construction on a piece of land registered in her daughter Arshi’s name. Khatoon, however, claimed the land was under dispute and objected to the construction, leading to a heated confrontation that escalated quickly. Jahan, on the other hand, had earlier filed a complaint against Khatoon, making the situation even murkier.

Fierce Words for Shami Amid Legal Battle

The controversy comes on the heels of Jahan’s explosive Instagram posts targeting Mohammed Shami. After the Calcutta High Court ordered the cricketer to pay Rs 4 lakh per month for her and their daughter, Jahan lashed out, accusing him of defaming her and labelling him “characterless, greedy, and mean-minded.”

“You took advantage of a male-dominated society… but now I will take the help of the law and claim all our rights,” she wrote in one of her posts.

Shami Maintains Silence
