A recent viral video from New York City left the internet shocked. In the video, a man can be seen attempting to walk his dog through the flooded streets.

The video was shared on Instagram accounts " Escape The Matrix and Awaken!".  It revealed the severe flooding situation that has recently affected the city with streets submerged due to incessant rainfall.

In the viral video, one can see the man standing with his dog in the flooded streets while another scene depicts water rapidly flowing down the stairs of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) office.

The video's caption pointed out the inadequacies of the city's drainage system, highlighting the need for improvements.

Numerous horrifying visuals of the flooded streets of NYC have gone viral on the same social media page.

In the comments section, one user expressed concern, saying, "It is one thing to be out in floodwater, but do not bring your dog into it."
