Man snatches beauty pageant crown, smashes it to the ground after wife comes second

In a bizarre incident, a man stormed onto the stage of a beauty pageant, snatched the winner’s crown and smashed it to the ground after another woman was declared the winner while his wife was placed in the second position.

The whole incident, reportedly from an LGBTQ+ beauty pageant in Brazil, has been going viral after it was uploaded on social media.

The video begins with the announcement of two finalists. Things take an ugly turn after another woman was declared the winner. Within seconds, the man storms onto the stage, snatches the crown and smashes it to the ground. He is then seen yelling at the organisers and takes away his wife as others present on the stage look at him in shock.

He then returns back and picks up the crown from the floor and smashes it to the ground again. Even as a bodyguard tries to interrupt him, he starts yelling at the bodyguard.

Since being shared online, the video has garnered over 7922 views with hilarious comments from social media users.

“Hahaha, 1st husband who thinks his wife is more beautiful than other women. Salute,” commented a user.

Another user commented, “First time I have heard and seen such pageant for LGBTQ+, I was like is this really organised.”

Meanwhile, the beauty pageant coordinator released a statement and said, “He did not consider the result to be fair and caused all this inconvenience and damage.”

“We vehemently condemn the incident that occurred at the time of the crowning of the elected Miss when the partner of Miss Cuiaba, who was classified in second place, invaded the stage and aggressively destroyed the crown,” he added.

Furthermore, the organisers said the judges were fair in declaring the winner.
