Man catches wife with lover, gets them married in front of villagers in UP

In an extraordinary turn of events, a husband in Uttar Pradesh’s Sant Kabir Nagar district not only accepted his wife’s extramarital relationship but also organised her wedding to her lover, taking full responsibility for their two children himself. The incident, which has gone viral, has left the village in awe and sparked mixed reactions. 

Bablu, a resident of Katar Jot village, married Radhika from Gorakhpur in 2017. The couple have two children—Aryan (7) and Shivani (2). Due to work commitments, Bablu was often away, during which Radhika developed a relationship with Vikas, a local youth.

Affair Behind His Back:

When Bablu discovered the affair, instead of reacting angrily, he took an unconventional decision. He took Radhika to the Dhanaghta tehsil, prepared an affidavit, and then arranged her marriage to Vikas at the Daneenath Shiva Temple.

Even as Bablu understood his wife, Radhika abruptly ended her 9-year marriage, showing no regard for her children. Bablu, in turn, told the villagers he would raise the children alone and even offered to arrange her marriage to the lover. Radhika agreed, giving up custody of her children without protest.

During the ceremony, Radhika was seen crying as she exchanged garlands with Vikas, who applied sindoor in her maang (hair parting). Surprisingly, Bablu and the villagers were present at the wedding, witnessing the emotional moment.

While some praised Bablu’s sacrifice and maturity, others questioned the social and legal implications. The incident has become the talk of the district, with debates on marriage, morality, and personal choices.

“Good for him. Otherwise, he'll end up dead only,” shared a user. Likewise, another user wrote, “Thank god she did not ask him for alimony.”

Police have not yet commented on whether this arrangement holds legal validity, but the case highlights complex emotional and societal dynamics.
