Maha Kumbh Mela's 'Viral Girl' Monalisa to debut with 'The Diary of Manipur'; Sanoj Mishra CONFIRMS,

The ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj has drawn global attention. The largest religious gathering has turned into a livelihood hub for many as millions of Hindu devotees from across the world have congregated at the Holy place. Meanwhile, several others have garnered overnight fame. Among the many, Madhya Pradesh's Mala Seller Monalisa drew everyone's attention and became popular as 'Viral Girl'. Though she had to leave the Maha Kumbh Mela and return to her home to ensure her and her family's safety, all eyes have been on Monalisa. For a couple of days, reports have been abuzz that Monalisa will be making her Bollywood debut soon with 'The Diary of Manipur'. Well, now filmmaker Sanoj Mishra has confirmed the same.

'Viral Girl' Monalisa's Bollywood Debut

Recently, Monalisa shared a video on social media in which filmmaker Sanoj Mishra confirms Monalisa being a part of The Diary of Manipur. Mishra also talks about her family in the video.

In the video, filmmaker Sanoj Mishra is seen standing close to Monalisa and introduces himself and Monalisa.

Next, he says, "And, as I told you that in my next film 'The Diary of Manipur' I will cast her, so I went to meet her in Prayagraj and today I have come to her village Maheshwar. And today with her family, with her father, and other family members, I had a conversation. We had a conversation on everything."

Further, he adds, "To be honest, these people are very innocent. I mean, beyond my imagination. They are so innocent...and from today, I mean, from when I took on the responsibility, I feel that my responsibility has increased."

About The Diary of Manipur

According to reports, Monalisa will be playing the role of a Indian Army soldier's daughter, hailing from Manipur. In the film, Monalisa's character also wants to join the army. The movie will mirror the challenges she faces while realising her dream.

Notably, Monalisa hails from a lower middle class nomadic (Banjara) family. The family's occupation is selling neckpieces made of Rudraksha and pearls while roaming all around.
