Maha Kumbh-bound special train vandalised in Madhya Pradesh by mob, watch
In a shocking incident, an enraged mob vandalised a Maha Kumbh-bound special train at Harpalpur and Chhattarpur railway stations in Madhya Pradesh. Reportedly, the local passengers attempting to board the Dr Ambedkar Nagar-Prayagraj Express Train from Jhansi to Prayagraj became agitated as the doors of the overcrowded train compartments were not opened.
As per reports, the incident occurred between 1 am to 1.30 am. The special train heading to Prayagraj from Jhansi was already overcrowded and a huge crowd was waiting on the platform to board the train. However, the passengers inside the train didn't open the doors due to lack of space. This led the agitated local passengers to pelt stones and vandalise the train.
Videos of the shocking incident have gone viral on social media showing a furious crowd pelting stones and other heavy objects at the train breaking the door and window glasses.

The passengers present at the platform created a ruckus over not being able to board the train. Following that the Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel opened the doors of the train allowing the enraged passengers to board the overcrowded train. However, several people couldn't board the train due to a lack of space.
However, the angry crowd breaking the windows and doors triggered panic among the passengers onboard.

In one of the viral videos, a man can be heard saying, "They damaged the train and threw stones inside. They tried to kill passengers. There are women and children here."
According to a report by Times of India, there were around 7000-8000 people on the platform and the Maha Kumbh special train was already overcrowded. The police rushed to the spot when enraged people started throwing stones and vandalised the train, to control the situation. The mon dispersed and it took around an hour to manage the situation. After that, the train could safely depart from the station.
