Kolkata local train turns battleground; women fighting on board captured in viral video

In a startling incident aboard a Kolkata local train, a group of women was embroiled in a heated confrontation that quickly turned physical. A video capturing the altercation has gone viral on social media, drawing attention to the ongoing debate surrounding public behaviour in the country.

The viral video showed a chaotic scene with women shouting, screaming, and beating each other with slippers and punching each other's faces in the ladies' coach of the local train. However, the cause behind the altercation remains unknown.

In the video, one of the women can be seen using a slipper to hit and defend herself, while another woman is seen holding an orange-coloured object. At one point, a woman dressed in green is seen pulling and hitting the woman who is seated with slippers in her hand.

Amidst the chaos, the voices of other women in the coach attempting to intervene and quell the conflict could be heard. But their intervention remained in vain as the fight continued.

At the end of the video, one of the women involved in the fight can be seen hurling an object at a boy standing beside her. 

The video was shared on Twitter by the handle named Ayushi. She captioned the post, Kolkata local with a smiling face emoji.

The video took the internet by storm and Twitter users are quick to share their two cents on the incidents. A user wrote, “Pro version of Mumbai local.”  Another commented, “WWF women's qualifying trail.”

A third user questioned, “What kind of human mentality is this?”
