Forest encroachment by humans has become a pressing issue. Trees are being cut down to make way for agricultural land, urban development and other human activities. Such activities are leading to the loss of biodiversity and a direct impact on wildlife while disrupting the delicate balance of the ecosystem. Animals are generally protective of their habitat and may attack perceived intruders when they feel threatened. Recently, one such video has gone viral on social media that shows an elephant chasing off intruders from its habitat.

Elephant Shooed Off Picnickers From Forest!

Forests are a popular choice for picnics as they offer scenic landscapes, greenery and wildlife. Moreover, picnickers get multiple recreational options. However, it is essential to follow the rules and regulations in a forest and respect the environment and wildlife while being responsible.

In the recent video, an elephant can be seen approaching from the forest to a group of picnickers who are seen enjoying their outing. Surprisingly, the elephant suddenly charged some people, who were already alert to the approaching danger. While they run away from the place, the jumbo diverts its path and starts chasing a group of other people. The elephant chases off everyone while trumpeting and the group of people run to the other side.

Meanwhile, the elephant enters the river and walks away from the crowd. Without hurting any of the picnickers, the gentle giant makes its way into the forest.

Sharing the video on X, Indian Forest Service (IFS) official Parveen Kaswan wrote, "Tell me whose mistake it is. Why to chose location for picnic where the elephants are moving usually. In search of beautiful location please don’t put life in danger." (sic)

Meanwhile, users have also flooded the comments section with their views on the incident. Most of the users took the elephant's side and raised concerns about the safety of wild animals.
