A video of an Indian woman drying clothes on the balcony of Dubai’s ultra-luxurious Dubai ‘Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai Hotel has gone viral on social media, leaving the internet divided. While a section of people applauded her innocence, others brutally trolled her for ‘desi’ behaviour.
Taking to Instagram, user Pallavi Venkatesh shared a video of her mother drying clothes on the balcony of Atlantis hotel. Sharing the video, Pallavi hilariously wrote, “Moms just momming at Palm Atlantis.”
Unexpectedly, the video went crazy viral with millions of views and thousands of comments.
“Congratulations!! ....aunty's one desi Funda of daily routine is famous in European county. Hats of 2 mother india ❤️,” commented a user.
Another user shared, “Mom is mom it doesn't matter where you live in palace or hut she just taking care of her family.”
“The problem is ppl make a big deal even out of such cute lil moments.. more than the luxury it is such moments one remembers from holidays ❤️,” shared another user.
However, many Indians weren’t too pleased and said that it was bad manners in foreign countries and should follow the rules and regulations of their country.

Another user shared, “The problem with desi parents is the toxicity that whatever they do is right. That’s how our generation has been embarrassed by our parents all our lives.”
However, Atlantis Palm Hotel left an adorable comment and wrote,
“Mom duties 👏 We hope you enjoyed your stay! (We include a retractable drying cord in every bathroom so that you can dry your clothing over the bath).”
