Indian train compartments are a familiar sight to many- especially the gentle hum of ceiling fans struggling to fight off the relentless summer heat. These fans, mounted at the top of each coach, circulate air but often fall short of providing real relief on sweltering routes. Most passengers make do with them, but for one traveller, that simply wasn’t enough.

When the train’s fans proved inadequate, the urge to improvise took over. Recently, a video surfaced on social media showing a passenger who went a step further in the quest for comfort- by carrying along his personal cooler.

Cooler, Berth, Nap- What Could Go Wrong?

In the now-viral video, the passenger is seen relaxing on the upper berth of a coach, with a cooler placed right above his head. Plugged firmly into the train’s power socket, the cooler whirrs away as the man enjoys a peaceful nap, unfazed by the curious glances around him.

Despite the overhead fans doing their best, this passenger chose his own appliance, turning the coach into his private chill zone.

The Viral Stir

The incident, captured by a fellow passenger, quickly made its way online. While the source and authenticity of the video remain unverified, it has been shared on Instagram by user aarshu_shukla_79.

The man’s unusual setup- cooler on berth, nap in progress- has amused netizens, with many joking that he transformed the train into his personal living room. Social media is buzzing with witty reactions, ranging from praise for his jugaad to concerns over railway safety.
