We have seen police officials conducting sting operations and disguising themselves in various ways to nab the culprit. In a similar instance, an IAS officer disguised herself as a patient to check on the health facilities provided in the hospital. The IAS officer was shocked to find ‘expired’ medicines being given to the patients.

Krati Raj, who is currently serving as the SDM of Firozabad, reached a healthcare center in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad covering her face with a veil. Behaving as a normal patient, she took stock of the situation and was saddened to find ‘expired’ medicines being given to the patients.

She acted following multiple complaints at the Dida Mai health center. During the probe, it was learnt that there was a huge amount of expired medicines and injections stocked in the hospital.

Furthermore, the IAS officer who approached the doctors as a patient figured out their conduct to be unprofessional. While employees were not at work despite being marked present, there was also a lack of hygiene and cleanliness at the healthcare center.

Speaking to ANI, the IAS officer said, “I had received complaints in regards to Dida Mai health center that the doctors were not present even after 10 am to administer injections for dog bite. I went there anonymously in a veil, the doctor’s behaviour was not appropriate.”

“Half the medicines were expired, and cleanliness was also not maintained. Work was not being done in the spirit of public service. We have noted these complaints,” she added.
